Our Meditations are open to all and held every Wednesday from 2-3pm.
These friendly, welcoming sessions, held weekly on Wednesdays, are open to members and visitors alike to explore different methods of meditating in the beautiful surroundings of the Hamblin Centre. No previous experience of meditating is required, indeed, a ‘beginner’s mind’ is to be encouraged.
These sessions can now take place in the hall. Please bring suitable clothing to ensure that you are warm. Do bring your own cushions/blankets from home for your comfort, if required. There are limited places per session, due to current restrictions, which must be reserved in advance.
Friendly disclaimer: The Hamblin Trust is unable to endorse any particular teacher, practitioner, therapist or speaker who practises, advertises or runs an event here. This is a matter for each individual to assess and take further if they wish.
Important information: There are many forms of meditation, some of which go deep. Please be aware that, while deep meditation can have many beneficial effects, it may unlock unconscious or repressed issues and may therefore not be suitable for everyone. If you have existing emotional or psychological issues, or a diagnosed mental health problem, please confirm with your doctor or suitably qualified therapist that it is safe for you to participate in deep meditation before deciding to take part.
