A practical session via Zoom to bring awareness to the breath and its importance for our health and wellbeing.
Yoga teacher Kathryn Bingham leads a session to help us explore ways to use the breath to bring calmness, confidence and improved health. Through gentle exercises we’ll gain understanding of how the whole body is involved with effective breathing and begin to free up physical restrictions to encourage the breath and energy to flow more freely.
These exercises will be simple and can be done siting on a chair if necessary, though some may be better performed standing if at all possible. Whilst the tutor will undertake to give clear guidance and cautions, please note that these exercises are undertaken at your own risk
The session will conclude with a short relaxation, using the breath to facilitate a deeper experience of release. This may be done sitting on a chair or lying down. It may be helpful have a blanket or cushions to hand.
Kathryn has been a yoga teacher for over 30 years and has taught classes for all abilities at the Hamblin Centre and other local venues for many years.
